A car and your body
======================

I don't know how much you know about the machine system in cars,
but believe it or not, our bodies are very much created like machines
(or perhaps better said is machines are created more like the systems in our
own bodies).

With a car you need to have good maintenance. This includes regular
oil check up, coolant to keep the car from overheating, filing
the radiator, checking the tires, and much more.

What I want to focus on is what happens when you push the car
to its limits and beyond. When a car is running normally, everything
is in balance and the car runs smooth. However, when the car
is overused without time to cool down or rest, the system gets
overworked and overheats. This is due to the tension created within
the engine, which then affects the other parts of the car.

The human body is the exact same way. When you let your body run
normally without added pressure, your brain will run in the most
efficient manner possible. However, when you start to build anxiety,
increase stress and worry, your brain gets overworked.

Not only does it have to do its normal functions such as helping you breathe,
allowing your heart to beat, allowing you to think, but now it has
to deal with the extra added pressure of dealing with the anxiety
and stress.

As a result, you start to get sick and your body begins to break down.

The important thing to take away is you have to develop methods
to cope and deal with anxiety and stress so you don’t overheat your
own system within your body.

By developing methods such as working on your breathing, stopping
yourself before you get too worked up, going for a walk when tension
is high, you allow your system that time period necessary to work
on its normal functions without overheating.
