In one of my law classes the professor presented a scenario.

He wanted to know the defense  of a someone who, according to the

law, had assaulted someone without self-defense.

The class was silent.

Dead silent.

The professor said, "Fine. He is your client. You HAVE to defend him.

You can't choose your clients in the real world.

You have to pay the bills to bring the income in."

I stopped dead in my thought process of his question.

"Why not? Why can't I choose?" I heard myself say.

Most people don't have a choice because of the decisions they make.

These decisions in turn corner you into having to do things

you hate.

Buying that house you can't afford the mortgage payments

without stressing yourself.

Building a lifestyle that is beyond your means.

Creating an image for others that really has you cornered with debt.

I decided I will give myself the choice.

I want to have the choice of picking my own clients.

Of being able to make my decisions based on my morals.

I will live my life in a manner so I can choose my clients.

I will live my life by the will of God so I am not forced into anything.

Think to how you are currently living and reflect to see if you

are putting yourself in a situation where you can’t choose your own

clients metaphorically speaking.
