Put air in the tires
======================

Beep. Beep. Beep.

Suddenly there it was as I expected. The red
triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle.
One of the tires in the car needed air.

Asia, my wife, and I had to run errands so I decided to make
a stop at the closest gas station. I was wearing
some basketball shorts with a white t-shirt and
sneakers. As it was a little humid that day, the waves
on my hair became curly and appeared a little disheveled
and messy.

I got out of the car and proceeded to get the nozzle of the
air tank. I squatted down and started filling up the tires with air.
As I was doing this, an Audi pulls up and out comes a lady.

“Hi, can you put air in my back tires?” She says to me.
I looked up at her. She appeared in her 40s and a little over-weight.
She had a blue-tooth in her ear and was on the phone while she was
telling me.

“Ummm...sure?” I replied back. I was thinking to myself, “Who
does this lady think she is? Is it because of the way I am
dressed that she thinks I work at the gas station putting
air in people’s tires? How foolish is this woman.”

Then I had a Peace and Blessings moment.

I shouldn’t be judging this woman. So what if she assumed
I worked there. I was able to help her put air in her tires.
Granted it may take some time from running my errands,
but there is no reason not to help another person.

I went and put air in her tires. She got back in her
car and said “God bless you” and drove off.

I got back into the car. Asia having seen everything,
chuckled and asked, “You didn’t ask her for a tip?”
