I came upon this artist by the name of Dub FX.
My personal opinion of this guy is that he is
truly remarkable and talented.
He is a well-known street performer from Melbourne, Australia.
He uses his voice with a technique called Live-Looping and that is it.
First he makes the beats, then the harmony, then the baseline all with his voice.
The result, however, sounds as though he recorded his tracks in a live studio
and spent thousands to make the beats and sounds.
What is more remarkable is his story.
He was working odd jobs here and there to make a living,
but that wasn't his passion. His passion was music.
So what did he decide to do? He made his passion into his life work.
He did a street performance here. He did a street performance there,
and step by step he laid the building blocks of his dream into something
tangible.
He believed in himself.
He knew he had to take this risk.
He went after something he enjoyed.
Yet, he didn't know what was going to happen. If he was going to become a success.
If he was going to make lots of money. If anything was going to come out of it.
He just knew he enjoyed making music.
What is he doing now?
Well, he travels all over the world doing live performances, has his own record label,
and more importantly, he is doing something that he is passionate about.
