# 0001 Peace and Blessings Every Day

Talents
=====

How many times have you kept your talents hidden because you
felt that it just wasn’t good enough?

What is something that you can do very well? Think for a second.

Something that you have a keen ability to do and you know you do it well.

Yet, there is always that chatter in the back of your mind. You know this chatter very well.

You hear it on a constant basis.

Don't do it.

People will judge you.

You're being foolish.

You think you're good, but you'll mess up some how.

You know this chatter very well. This chatter gets in the way whenever God gives us an idea to use our talents for good.

To use our talents to help someone.

Any one.

Even if it is just that one person.

I was reading something a while back, and something really hit home with me:

"God gives us ideas on how to use the talents that He has given
us in so many ways and through so many different people.
Your only responsibility is to be obedient and get busy doing
whatever He has told you to do. Let Him worry about making it a
success."

Yet, so many of us don't put them to use.

We get scared.

Will it even do any good? Will it even help someone? Will anyone even notice?

I don't know if that paragraph earlier really hit home with anyone else.

But...it hit home with me.

It hit hard enough that I decided to start writing these newsletters.

Will people like it?

Some won't. Some will.

Will people judge me?

Some won't. Some will.

Will people be moved by it? Inspired by it? Touched by it?

Some won't. Some will.

Your responsibility is to be obedient to the ideas God gives you to use your talents.

Leave the rest to God.

I hope this helps you to know that nothing of God is without
purpose. Even what seems unimportant to you might just be what
someone else has been searching years for. So don’t be afraid to
put those talents to work for God’s glory, define what success
is to you and get ready for it. It’s what He promises and He
cannot tell a lie.

I have decided that from now on, whenever God gives me an idea
to act upon, I will do it no matter how strange or unprofitable
it may seem at first.

It’s my responsibility to be obedient;
that’s the easy part.

It’s up to God to make it a success.
