#0473 Trimesters and Life

# 0473 Peace and Blessings Every Day
Trimesters and Life

As my wife and I have been working through the
course of her first pregnancy, I have observed
how closely the different trimesters
resemble many aspects of life.

For those of you who are not familiar, a
pregnancy is broken in three (hence tri)
parts comprising of three months each.
During the course of these trimesters,
the soon-to-be mother goes through
different states.

The first trimester is generally difficult
and sluggish. It requires hard work
to adjust and get used to a new state.
The woman is also generally tired and

As the first trimester wanes and the second
is come upon, the woman starts feeling
better and energized. With more energy
back, the woman is able to resume
living as normally as before (except now
the baby bump is becoming more noticeable).

Then comes the last trimester. It comes
a little more difficult. The woman starts to
get more tired from the weight and activity
of the baby. Although this is in the
home stretch, it may seem like forever
before it is time for delivery.

How is this like many aspects of life? Well,
regardless of how you look at it whether it
is the start of life to the end of life or the
start of a new job, activity, project, endeavor,
it is broken up the same way. Initially, there
is some adjusting that needs to be done, and
it can prove to be discomforting with either actual
or mental anguish.

Soon as momentum picks up, just like the second
trimester,  you are on a roll. Energized and at
full speed to get things done and accomplished.
As soon as you are close to the finish line, you
start to realize how much hard work and effort
is needed to see to the finish line. But just like in
pregnancy, if you stay the course and realize
that there are different phases to whatever is before
you, the light at the end of the tunnel is very
much worth having gone through what seemed
like a lengthy journey.
