# 0595 Peace and Blessings Every Day
------------------------------------------------------------
Most important tip
======================
A course that I normally teach is for the
CPA exam. For anyone not aware, the CPA
exam is needed to be taken to become
a Certified Public Accountant (Chartered
Accountant for the international readers).

When I teach the course, I tell my students I have
3 tips for passing the exam. These are the tips
that I used when I took the exam. The students
become much more interested when I tell them
that when I took the exam, I took it within
one testing window (about 2-3 months makes up a testing
window,, and took all 4 parts within
a week of each other. This is normally unheard of
because most take 1 year to take the complete exam.

So when I tell them that I took the exam in that short
period and passed, they listen very attentively.
From all of the 3 tips that I give them, the third
one is what surprises them the most, and the one
that I truly stand by.

I tell my students to think back to a time when they
didn’t have the CPA exam. They had a lot of time
on their hands, and I’m sure they were doing
things they enjoyed. Exercising, watching a favorite
TV show, spending time with family, shopping...whatever
made them happy.

I then tell them that it is important now more than ever
that they find time to do that. Yes, they are extremely
busy. Some have jobs. Some have families. Some have
a lot of things going in addition to the exam. However,
one thing I learned from my experience is to still
make time to do something you enjoy especially
when life is hectic.

The night before my CPA exams, I would take the night off
and watch a movie by myself or with my family. I knew
I had to make time for myself in one way or another even
if it meant taking valuable  time away from studying.

You all reading this may not have a CPA exam coming up,
but I am certain you have a lot of other things going on in  your
life. The same tip applies to you. Even at your most busiest
time, you still need to find something you enjoy and do it.
