Positive Affirmations

I knew I had to work on being less of a critic of myself.
I’ve written a few Inner Peace Be Upon You newsletters about this.
So I did. And you know what?
Life has been great!
Really. Just changing my perspective in this manner has really
allowed me to be present in the moment and to appreciate me.
For example, when I’d go work out, I’d be upset because
I didn’t lift as much as the week before. I’d beat myself up
about it and be negative.
Now when I’m at the gym, I tell myself that just by being at
the gym, I’m doing something great for myself no matter
how much I am lifting.
Or when I’m at work and I make a mistake, I’d get very upset.
Now I try to catch my mistakes and applaud myself for doing so.
Little positive affirmations like that make a big difference to our
mental and emotional well-being.
The great thing is we don’t have to depend on anyone
else to do it for us. We can do it for ourselves.
