Way of the Peaceful Warrior

There are no accidents or coincidences. Everything is a lesson. Everything has a purpose, purpose, purpose.
When I was interviewing for my summer associate position at law firms last year, I had one interview with a partner at a very large firm. He had a very clean and calm energy and aura about him.
When I walk in, he smiles at me and I notice my resume is in front of him. He lets me know I have an impressive resume, and he wants to know about Inner Peace Be Upon You.
Out of everything on my resume from starting my own businesses to jobs I have had and schools I went to, he asks about Inner Peace Be Upon You. I found it very intriguing and I was ecstatic because I had so much to say about Inner Peace Be Upon You.
I told him that it all came down to perspective and how we choose to see the world that differentiated two people in the same exact position. I told him I came up with Inner Peace Be Upon You after I had gone through some difficulties and learned some valuable lessons. I learned how important it was to work on my self (not a misspelling here). He smiled and with it came a sense of peace. That was our interview. None of my other interviews with other firms were like this.
Fast forward I was given another 2 interviews and the people I met had a common trait that I couldn't pinpoint, but I liked. I got the position and eventually a full time offer.
This partner that brought me in initially ended up subscribing to Inner Peace Be Upon You. One of my articles was from the book Way of the Peaceful Warrior, which I had not read, and after receiving that particular issue, he let me know it was one of the books that left a lasting impression on him.
I was intrigued so I ordered the book.
There are no accidents or coincidences.
As I am reading the book, it hits me that a lot of the same lessons I portrayed in Inner Peace Be Upon You and discussed during my interview ran parallel to the book!
Imagine that!
The partner and I had never met before. I had no idea about his past beyond his professional career. I had no idea he had read Way of the Peaceful Warrior and how it left a lasting impression. I had no idea how the same lessons I was telling him about were the same ones that resonated with him.
The Universe and our energies were all aligned and it was meant for us to cross paths that day. I only made that realization much later.
God works his ways in a very mysterious fashion to us humans, but there are no coincidences.
Everything that lead up to that moment was a building block and everything I am doing now personally and professionally is a building block for what is to come next.
Everything has a purpose, purpose, purpose.
